Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm

If you have read my July favourites post, you will know that I have been loving my Emma Hardie cleansing balm. I had a couple of comments on it in my July Favourites post and I love it so much that I thought it deserved a post of its own! I received a 15ml sample size of this in my Glossybox a while ago and I loved it so much so that when it finished, I ordered a full size pot straight away!


This is a balm cleanser which you are meant to mix with water in your hands to create a milk and then massage it into your skin. I like to apply the balm to dry skin and massage that in first, and then I add some water to my hands and massage them over my face which turns the balm into a milk/oil. The balm is lovely and melts into the skin amazingly well. It also smells delicious!


Once I have massaged it all in I take my muslin cloth to remove it. My Emma Hardie sample pot came with a muslin cloth and it is the best muslin cloth I have ever used! 

The top photo shows the muslin side of the cloth. It gently exfoliates the skin as it is slightly abrasive, like all muslin cloths. The other side however is amazing! It feels like a very very soft, luxurious flannel! It is so soft and this is the side I always use. It effectively removes all of the cleansing balm on my skin and is very gentle but also feels like it is polishing away at my skin. I am definitely going to invest in some more of these cloths. You can purchase a set of 3 cloths for £10.

Once I have removed the cleanser from my face, my skin is left feeling so clean, smooth, calm and moisturised. I don't think I have ever used a cleanser that leaves my skin feeling so moisturised and plump!

Emma Hardie also say this cleansing balm can be left on for 10 minutes as a face mask - I need to try this!

This cleansing balm is available here for £34 for 100ml - I can imagine this will last me ages!

    This looks really nice! I love cleansing with a Muslin cloth i think it makes an amazing difference x

      It is so lovely! It does - I don't like really harsh muslin cloths but the flannel side of this one is so soft it's unreal! :) Thank you so much for your comment xx

    I've not heard lots about this elsewhere but it sounds great, I love cleansers that don't leave your skin feeling tight and dry so I may have to give this one a go.

      I agree - I really don't like cleansers that leave my skin feeling dry! This feels so moisturising it's incredible! I would definitely recommend it :) Thank you for your comment x

    This looks like a lovely cleanser.. I am using a Boots Hot Cloth Balm Cleanser at the moment & this sounds quite similar. Found you through the BBU blog hop x

      I think it's amazing. I will definitely be repurchasing it again and again! I haven't seen a great deal of reviews before but the ones I gave seen are good ones :) This deserves more hype I think xx

      I think it's worth the money. It is pricey but the sample lasted me 6 months with on and off use and that was 15ml so this will last ages :) The product is amazing which definitely justifies the price tag for me! :) xx

      It is so amazing! I would 100% recommend it! I know someone with drier skin who loves it and my skins slightly oily so it seems to be great for all skin types :) x

      I love this product! Oh no, well I get oily down the centre of my face and my cheeks are normal and can be slightly dry. This cleanser is amazing because the balm/oil texture is great at hydrating any dry areas but it doesnt make my skin any more oily! I hope that's helped xx

    I'm really intrigued by this! It's different to anything I've ever tried before, which naturally means I will soon have to. Not sure I like the price of it though, it's a bit steep for such a small amount, although as you say, I suppose it will last you a while :)

      It is pretty pricey but I have used it twice a day for over two weeks and have hardly made a dent in it! I would say its worth it - I've never tried a cleanser like it :) x
