June Favourites!

I haven't ever done a monthly favourites post before but I realised that over the last month or so I have been using the same products pretty much everyday, so I thought I would tell you about them!

L-R, Tresemme Colour Fade Protection shampoo and conditioner, Moroccan Oil
If you follow me on twitter you may have read that I recently had my hair coloured. My hairdresser recommended I get a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair to help protect my colour and stop it fading. I chose to get Tresemme Colour Fade Protection. I have used these about four times now and I love them! My colour hasn't faded at all, however I find it hard to tell if that's due to the shampoo and conditioner or not because I don't know how my hair would look if I wasn't using them! I honestly don't think I have used a shampoo and conditioner before that leave my hair so unbelievably soft! I have noticed over the past couple of weeks of using these my hair just seems to be in better condition and is getting softer, looking healthier and is more manageable.

I have had Moroccan oil for a little while now and I have always loved using it, however over the past month I have felt like I need to use it! The weather has been hot one minute and raining the next and this oil just seems to control my hair and stop it going frizzy and fluffy.
I apply one pump of this to damp hair just before I blow dry and then about half a pump into my hair after I have dried and styled it. I have pretty thick hair and when it rains my hair goes very frizzy and poofy. If I have used this in the morning though, my hair will stay smooth and frizz free! I absolutely love this and I am considering getting a mini 25ml to carry around in my bag.
I have a hair care routine which you can read here.

L-R, No7 Powder Blush Brush, YSL Touche Eclat Foundation, Urban Decay Naked Palette, Mac MSF Natural
I have had this No7 blush brush for a few months now and at first I used it to powder my face. A few weeks ago however, my Mac blush brush broke so I decided to use this instead and I actually really really like it. It is the perfect size and shape for applying blush to the apples of the cheeks and I find it picks up the ideal amount of product on it. It is very soft and not too dense which means the blush doesn't apply too heavy and I end up with clown cheeks!

I picked up a sample of the new YSL Touche Eclat foundation the other week and I really like it. It has even been taking the place of my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqau on a couple of mornings and that is my all time favourite! I am planning to do a whole review on this foundation by the end of this week so I wont ramble on about it now but I love it and it is a definite favourite of mine this month.

Over the past month I haven't really been wearing much eye shadow, as in a full smokey eye, however I like to have something on my eyelids just to add some definition so I have been enjoying using 'Naked' from the Naked palette.  This is just a matte, light brown and I either sweep it all over my eyelid or focus it into the crease for some definition. It's quick and easy for everyday which I love.

I tend to go through stages of loving Mac msf natural and wearing it everyday and then not wearing it for ages. The past month I have been loving it and wearing it every single day without fail. I get a slightly oily nose so I always powder that, however when using Mac msf I tend to powder all over my skin because I just love the finish it gives. It doesn't look cakey and powdery at all, it just leaves my skin natural and healthy. This powder is really light on the skin but also provides enough coverage if my skin is having a good day and I only need light coverage.

That is all of my favourites for June! I hope you enjoyed this post - I enjoyed writing it and choosing what to put in it so I definitely think I will be doing one next month!

What are your June favourites? Have you tried any of these products?

My Hair Care Routine

I thought I would do a post all about my hair care routine today. I used to always try out new hair products and buy whatever was on offer, but I was never happy with my hair care routine and I never felt my hair was in very good condition. Over the past few months I have found products which I absolutely love and I feel are making a great difference and improvement to my hair.
L - R, John Frieda Shampoo, John Frieda Conditioner, Unite Weekender Shampoo, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle.

To start off, I wash my hair 3 times a week and I use John Frieda Full Repair shampoo which I really like. I have a full review on this which you can read by
clicking here. Once a week I wash my hair with Unite Weekender shampoo which I love. This shampoo cleanses and detoxifies hair and gets rid of any product build up. It makes my hair feel so refreshed, soft and squeaky clean. I have two conditioners that I tend to switch between which are John Frieda Full Repair Deep Conditioner and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle.I have a full review of the John Frieda conditioner here. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioner is a lovely conditioner that makes my hair feel so soft, look really healthy and it just works really nicely.
L - R, Unite 7 Seconds, Tresemme Split End, John Frieda Deep Infusion, Toni and Guy Sea Salt, Moroccan Oil.

Once I have washed my hair I use Unite 7 Seconds Conditioner Detangler on my hair. This product is amazing! I just spray about 8 or so sprays into my hair all over and it doesn't leave my roots greasy if I spray it on them. This acts as a heat protection for when I blow dry my hair, as well as a detangler and leave in conditioner. This product is honestly amazing and I love it as my hair gets really knotty. After this I either use Tresemme Split End Remedy Serum or John Frieda perfect Ends Deep Infusion Serum on the ends of my hair. The Tresemme product is a cream and the John Frieda is an oil. Both of these products are really nice and leave the ends of my hair soft and lovely. They both really seem to improve the look of split ends and stop the ends of my hair breaking off as much. I then spray Toni and Guy Sea Salt spray all through my hair to add volume and texture. I really like this product and I think I am going to do a full review on it so keep a look out!
L - R, Got2b Guardian Angel, Babyliss Conical Wand, John Frieda Loose Curls, Cloud Nine Straighteners.
Next I blow dry my hair and then use Got2b Guardian Angel heat protection to protect my hair when I style it. If I am straightening my hair I use Cloud Nine straightens which I love. I also own GHD's but I don't use these very often any more. I can do a review on these hair straighteners if you would like, just let me know in the comments below. If I want to wear my hair wavy or curled then I either use John Frieda Loose Curls curling iron or Babyliss Conical Wand. The Babyliss Conical Wand gives a curl compared to a loose wave. On a daily basis I prefer to use the John Frieda loose curls wand to just add some shape and movement into the ends of my hair. Finally, once my hair is styled I use Moroccan Oil on the ends which is amazing! I had heard great things about it but never knew if it was worth the hype but I bought it and I am so glad I did. It leaves my hair really soft, manageable and amazing. It doesn't leave my hair greasy, just healthy and shiny.

So that is my hair care routine! If you have any questions then please leave them in the comments below.
