Superdrug Dry Shampoo

Hello! So I don't really post negative reviews on my blog but thought it may be interesting to once in a while! I'm not usually disappointed with any products I buy so these wont be very often!

The product I am reviewing is the Superdrug Dry Shampoo in Chocolate Brownie and I am definitely not saying this is a bad product, it just doesn't work for me. I bought it because I heard good reviews on it but personally I don't like it!

I have used Batiste ever since I started using dry shampoo and I love it! I have the original though which sprays out a grey/white colour so I went into Superdrug to buy the brunette one. When I was there I saw this one and it was a lot cheaper plus I had heard a couple of good reviews on it so I decided to try it!

This just didn't do anything for my hair. It didn't make it look any less greasy and it actually made it feel worse. My hair felt really horrible and almost sticky where I had sprayed this and still looked just as greasy! It didn't give my hair any volume either and I like volume from a dry shampoo.

I did love the fact it was the brunette one as it sprayed out brown which is great as I didn't have to worry about having white roots! I am going to purchase the Batiste brunette one to try now!

I don't know why this didn't work for me but unfortunately it didn't. I will definitely be sticking with Batiste from now on! I'm not at all saying don't buy this, I just thought I would share my opinion and experience!

Have you tried this product?

Do you like me posting some negative reviews as well as positive ones?

My Eyebrow Routine

Hello! I thought I would do a post about my eyebrow routine. I was never someone that would pay much attention to my eyebrows at all, however lately I have started an eyebrow routine and I am really happy with it!

My eyebrows have always been fairly thick and dark brown so I didn't feel the need to fill them in. Over the past couple of years I have been shaping them myself by plucking them and it's only been over the past six months I started filling them in. When I started plucking them, I definitely plucked them too much and they were so thin! I have let them grow back recently though and they luckily grew back quickly. I have very recently started getting them threaded which I am very happy about and I really like the shape of them now.

When I started filling my eyebrows in, I used pencils but personally I didn't really like them, so I started using powders instead.

As you may have seen in my September Favourites post, I bought the Benefit Browzings and have been absolutely loving using it! It comes with a wax and a powder which are great at filling in the brows and keeping them in shape. I put the wax and the powder on the angled brush and brush them through my eyebrows to fill them in and shape them.

The wax does definitely help to keep my brows in shape, however during the day there can be some hairs that just stick up a bit so I am thinking of getting a brow gel like the Mac brow set! If you have any suggestions then please let me know.

Here are my eyebrows a couple of days before I am going to get them threaded and without being filled in. Even though there are quite a few stray hairs that need to be removed, my eyebrows do tend to keep their shape pretty well.

Here are my eyebrows after being threaded and without being filled in. I absolutely love getting my eyebrows threaded. I have had my eyebrows waxed before but I would definitely say I prefer threading. My eyebrows last a lot longer before they need doing again! I was quite worried about the pain because I heard it hurt, but I don't find it does too much. My eyes do water so I look like I'm sat there crying, but apart from that it's fine!

Here are my eyebrows filled in and this is how I have them on a daily basis.

I hope this post has been helpful and you have enjoyed it! If you have any more questions then please leave them down below!

Have you ever tried threading? What products do you use for your eyebrows?

OOTD #4 - Autumn College Day

Hello! So I went back to College this week after half term and it has started to get really cold! Today I left home at 9.30am which wasn't too bad as it had started to warm up a little by then but not much! I bought a new coat the other day which I am in love with. It's thick and has fur on the edges and is so warm and cosy!

This coat is perfect for Autumn/Winter and you can see the fluffy lining in the photo! The scarf I'm wearing isn't very warm or wintery but I thought it was pretty!

The jeans I'm wearing are the Topshop Leigh jeans which are my favourite jeans ever! If I'm wearing jeans then they are always these ones. I have two pairs in black as well!

My shoes are grey Converse which I bought the other day! I have wanted some Converse for a while now and they are so comfy! They are perfect to wear when it's too cold for dolly shoes but I don't want to wear boots.

My jumper is actually from Primark! I bought it yesterday and I really like it! I think Primark are starting to do some nicer things recently (they still don't beat Topshop for me though!) I love the dogtooth pattern and it's also pretty thick and warm!

That is my outfit that I wore today! I am now at home because I finished college just before 12 this afternoon!

Please let me know if you like OOTD posts because I really like doing them.

Hair and Clothing Haul

Hello! I posted a haul the other day of some makeup and skincare bits I have picked up which you can read here! There were too many products to put in one post so I split it into two for you and here is part two!

If you read my October Favourites post then you will have seen these featured in it! They are the Tigi S Factor Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. I bought the 200ml of these but I actually think it's better value for money to buy the twin pack of 750ml. I didn't buy the big ones though because sometimes my scalp reacts slightly to haircare products and I didn't want to find I reacted to these and then had two 750ml bottles sat in my shower! I absolutely love these though! I'm not sure they beat my Ojon Dry Recovery haircare (review here) but they are pretty darn close!

My next product is the Joico Intense Hydrator. I have only used it about 3 or 4 times but I already really like it! It leaves my hair feeling amazing, soft and it also smells really nice. The tube is massive as well so will hopefully last me a while!

Onto clothes! I will possibly do some outfit of the days wearing these items so let me know if that's something you would like!

I went to Topshop which is almost the only place I shop for my clothes! Firstly, I bought a flower jumper which I absolutely love! It's so soft, cuddly and warm and the flower patten is so pretty! The flowers also go right around onto the back of the jumper which is great because some tops only have a pattern on the front and I like it when the pattern is all over a top.

Next I bought a khaki hoody. I only have one hoody which is from Hollister and I really wanted another. I saw this one in Topshop and I love the colour khaki! This is actually extremely soft and warm inside.

Lastly I bought two pairs of leggings. The first pair are black with a faux leather panel down the side of the legs! I love these leggings and they are so comfy! They are really easy to wear as well as they are black so go with everything and the faux leather panel makes them slightly more interesting! (I can't find these online but here are some very similar ones!)

The second pair of leggings were an ombre, dip dye pair. They are denim looking and are thicker then regular leggings which makes them perfect for the winter!

That is my haul finished! I really hope you have enjoyed this - I really liked writing a haul.

If you would like to see some outfit posts or reviews on any of the haircare products then please let me know!

Where's your favourite place to shop?

Week In Instagram Photos #2

Hello! The beginning of this week was quite busy because I was in London for a couple of days which was really fun! A lot of these photos are just of the food I ate! Haha.

I hope you enjoy this post!

Listening to One Direction on the way to London! // Selfridges had Christmas lights covering the front of the building! They were really pretty // Waiting for the tube! // My Pret A Manger cookie! It was warm with melted chocolate inside! // My first ever Pinkberry! Chocolate frozen yogurt with Nutella and lots of other yummy things! // McDonalds! // I was told last minute that my friends party was Halloween themed so I tried to do some kind of scary/haunted doll! I don't look too happy in this photo! Haha I don't know why. // Ready to leave! I don't look that scary but I was pretty impressed as I only had a couple of hours notice!

If you want to see what I bought in London then I have a haul post here.

Also, I wore my Millie Mackintosh Mayfair lashes for the party and they were amazing! I haven't worn false lashes before because I can't apply them but these applied so easily and stayed on all night! I couldn't even feel them. I worry that if I wear false lashes they will fall off but I completely forgot I had these on and they didn't budge! Yay.

I hope you have all had a lovely week!

Beauty of Louise - Feelunique Giveaway

Hello! So today's post is something slightly different and it is my entry for Louise's giveaway! Louise is a lovely lady and this giveaway is such a fun idea. For more information then click here, but basically the prize is an £80 Feelunique voucher and to enter all you have to do is write a blog post featuring all the products you would buy if you won the voucher!

I love Feelunique and there are always products from there I want so this is an exciting post!

All photos are taken from feelunique.com

The first item is this detangling hair brush by Michel Mercier for normal hair. I have a tangle teezer which I use everyday and I love it! I have heard good reviews about this hairbrush though and it has a handle which the tangle teezer doesn't! I really want to try it!

This is £14.95.

Next is the 'Serious Conditioner' with Sunflower Seed Oil by Tigi S Factor. I have had this conditioner before and I used it all up and loved it loads! I never got round to repurchasing it though and I really want it again because it left my hair feeling incredible!

This is £14.

I am very tempted to try this Smoothing Lusterizer by Tigi S Factor! I have recently bought the S Factor smoothing shampoo and conditioner which I love and as I mentioned above, I loved their 'Serious Conditioner' so I really want to try more from their range!

This is £13.50.

A skincare product is Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream. This sounds really lovely as it says it eliminates impurities and excess oil leaving the complexion radiant, soft and clean.

This is £16.20.

The last product that I would buy is the Clarins Instant Lip Perfector in Apricot Shimmer. I have this in Rose Shimmer and it is such a lovely product! It leaves my lips feeling moisturised whilst leaving a lovely glossy tint! I love peachy, apricoty shades so I would love to try this one.

This is £14.40.

If you would like to enter this giveaway then click here!

I hope you enjoyed this post! It was really fun to chose all the products I would like! If you have any recommendations of products from Feelunique I should try then please let me know.

Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder

Hello! If you have read my Makeup and Skincare Haul then you will have seen that the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder was in it. Some of you asked me to do a full review on it so here it is!

I have only ever owned one contour shade before which was the Sleek Contour Kit. I did like it however I found the contour shade a bit too dark and bordering on orangey for my pale skin tone. This meant I never contoured and honestly, I don't think I'm that great at it!

I heard a little bit about the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder and was in a splurge mood so just ordered it!

It is such a gorgeous colour - definitely the nicest contour shade I have ever seen! It is not at all orangey, it's actually more of a taupe, brown, grey colour which is perfect for creating natural sculpting of the face.

I have built the colour up in the photo so you can really see it. It is well pigmented but not too much, so you can add a little bit and then build it if you want more.

This blends well too. I think I blend it too much though! I apply this to the hollows of my cheeks and blend it so it looks nice and sculpted. I then get paranoid it will be too obvious and harsh so blend more and more until it's hardly there! Haha.

I use it on my cheekbones and then bring it up to my temples and it looks very natural. I can only tell I have used it if I do one side of my face and then look in the mirror before doing the other! Once both sides are done, it just looks like I have naturally sculpted cheekbones. Perfect!

I still don't contour very often because on a daily basis I tend to just use a big fluffy brush and use my Nars Laguna bronzer. When I do want to contour though, this is a great product! I wouldn't say it's a must have product and it's amazing, however if you contour regularly and are on the search for something new to try, I would recommend giving this a look!

It is available from Space NK for £34.

Do you have any contouring tips?

I want to change my hair colour!

Hello! So today's post is going to just be a chatty one and I would love some advice please!

My hair is naturally a medium brown. A few months ago I dyed it a mahogany sort of colour and there is still quite a lot of red in it when I am in the light. I am trying to get rid of this but I know red is quite a hard colour to get rid of in the hair! I have been going to the hairdressers and they have been trying to get rid of some of the red but it's really not working and if anything is getting more red! (What!)

I love the Ombre hair trend but I don't know if it's a bit done now? I am considering getting a couple of subtle highlights in my hair but because it's a reddy colour then I would be worried they would go brassy. I love hair that has highlights throughout it and then the highlights get more at the bottom so it gives an Ombre effect but it's a lot more subtle and natural.

I had my hair highlighted all over a couple of years ago so I was basically blonde and it did damage my hair so I wouldn't want to go that far again. Also, I loved it in some lights but in others it wasn't a nice blonde.

I also really want to buy some hair extensions and I am looking at the Foxy locks ones! I obviously want to decide what I am doing with my hair colour before I buy them though because I don't really want to have to dye them! If you have any recommendations for hair extensions then please let me know as well!

I love changing my hair colour but I don't want to go for anything too crazy! So if you guys have any suggestions, have Ombre hair yourself, highlights or any advice then please let me know!

October Favourites

Hello! November seems to have come around so quickly! It doesn't feel that long ago since I posted my September Favourites!

My first favourite is the Tigi S Factor Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. I have written about this in my Hair and Clothing Haul which should be one of the next posts up. My hair is fairly thick and almost frizzy sometimes and using these really help smooth it down and make it very soft and manageable.

Next is my Kerastase Elixir Ultimate hair oil (review here) and this is honestly my favourite hair oil! It leaves my hair so shiny and just very very soft.

Lastly for hair is my Denman hair brush! If you have seen my London Haul then you will have read that I purchased a second hairbrush from Denman because I love this one so much! It does feel as though it just smooths over the top layer so I would recommend having another hair brush for properly brushing through any tangles in your hair. I love using this as the last step of my haircare routine as it just smooths over my hair and leaves it looking smooth and somehow more shiny!

Onto makeup, my next favourite is the YSL Touche Eclat Foundation (review here). This feels very lightweight on the skin and I love the dewy, radiant finish this gives.

Next is my Rimmel Stay Matte powder! I always need to powder my skin and I have tried more expensive powders but I find this one does the job really well.

I used to wear eye liner everyday but then I stopped using it altogether! It's only recently that I've started wearing it more and I love the L'Oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss. I really disliked this when I first bought it and put it to the back of my drawer. I have rediscovered it recently though and it's great! I can apply it in one or two sweeps across my top lash line and it is very black and lasts all day!

My last favourite is actually a person! I have seen other bloggers include people in their favourites so hopefully it's not weird. Haha! My favourite is Georgina from Live Laugh Lipstick and she is honestly one of the loveliest girls I have ever met. I love her blog and find all of her posts amazing so I would definitely recommend checking her blog out!

That is all my favourites throughout October!

What have your favourites been? Have you tried any of these products?

London Haul!

Hello! If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you will have seen that I went up to London over the weekend. You may know that after College I really want to become a makeup artist and the visit to London was actually to go and see a makeup school and have a chat with them about the course. If anyone would like any more information on that then let me know, however this post is a haul to show you everything I bought!

On Sunday my mum and I went to Oxford Street and I was actually very good and only bought one thing! This was the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Treatment Conditioner. I haven't tried any of these products yet so I can't review them but this looked really nice and was only just over £1 because it was on sale! Bargain.

I wasn't as good on Monday though as I bought everything else! Haha. We went to Westfield and Oxford Street again.

First I went to Boots and bought the Botanics body brush because I have heard body brushing is meant to be good for you and your skin so thought I would pick one up! I also bought a few hair products!

The first product is the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protectant spray which I have actually just finished a bottle of so this was a repurchase.

Another (sort of) repurchase is the L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray which I love. I bought the Supreme Hold Infinite Shine one which I haven't tried before though.

When I was picking up the hairspray I also saw the L'Oreal Elnett Heat Protect Styling Spray's which say they will keep your hair in it's style for up to three days! There was one to keep hair straight for up to three days but I already have my John Frieda 3 Days Straight so I chose the curly one!

Lastly from Boots I bought a hairbrush! I have one other Denman brush and I love it so I thought I would try a different one from the brand. This one is a scented one which smells of strawberries and cream!

I next went to John Lewis and bought the Origins Out Of Trouble face mask. I have broken out quite a bit recently so was looking for something to use and I remembered seeing some reviews on this so thought I would try it!

In Selfridges I bought the Bumble and Bumble Texture Creme. I really wanted to try the Sunday Shampoo but John Lewis and Selfridges didn't have it. The lady in Selfridges said they were trying to order more in though! I only bought a mini texture creme because I wanted to try it first before buying a big one! My hair is pretty thick but it doesn't always have a lot of texture to it!

The Enrapture Totem Styler is on my Christmas list and after seeing DizzyBrunette3 hair styling routine, I really wanted the heated rollers as well! They look really nice and I am so excited to try them. They were on sale which made it even better!

My last purchase was a bag from Zara and I love it! It was a very impulsive buy - I saw a girl in the shop trying it on her arm in front of the mirror, liked it, searched for it, found it, bought it. Haha. It is massive and has so many compartments! I love having the shorter strap because I always carry my bag on my arm, however I really like having the option of the longer strap because I find sometimes if my back hurts as I carry so much then the longer strap is useful! I haven't used this bag yet but I will definitely be transferring all my things into it soon.

That is everything I bought from London! Let me know if you want a more in depth review on any of these items/products as I will be more than happy to write one once I have used them for longer!

Have you made any nice purchases lately?
